A Growing Field

Farms are all over the world and have different growing climates. Owning your own farm takes a lot of work because you live where you work and can not miss a day because its you farm and your the boss. For example John Christian day starts at 7 am when he opens the greenhouse. John has a small farm and is trying to find new ways to make soil without using harmful chemicals. He also makes soap from dried up roots during the winter and buys buttermilk and honey from local farmers.
Farms are usually passed down by generations. As time goes by family farmers sometimes sell farm land to bigger companies. 80 percent of the Untied States farm community is made up of family farms. Also small farm lands are starting to expand and grow in size of crop plantation. Organic foods are also in a demanding need as more and more people think of the term going green.
The quotes on farm lands are “Farming in less a job than a way of life”. This quote is true but many people might think that its just farming and nothing else. Farmers lease their farm land so when their gone the farm would keep on going.
